"And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything.
Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else."
~ Acts 17:25
A sobering verse. Our lives are short in comparison to an eternity in the afterlife; so we ought to live our lives for Christ. May God teach us to live our lives to the full: glorifying Him.
Amen and amen. This verse means even more today as a family member is in very serious condition.
May we use each day to His glory, a hard thing to do at times!!
My Dad used to love psalm 90, by Moses, Man of God, the Norwegian Bible says.Every time I hear or read it, I hear my Dad's voice. The longing for heaven when he read it.And for a heart of wisdom. He was the wisest man I know of, and now he's reached the goal too.
WOW! I just finished reading my Bible on this very thing! I received some sad news yesterday and since then I have been thinking upon how short our lives our and the importance of living for the Lord. Eternity is far more important and lasting than this world. James 4:14 has been on my heart and now this verse that you shared. You have blessed me, dear Lauren! May the Lord richly bless you, friend!Hugs,Stephanie
Thinking of you today - I hope ya'll are doing well. Lisa :o)
