I love this verse!! We definitely always need to be on guard. If we let it down for one second the enemy will pounce.

"Be on guard" is an imperative. This means that it's not merely a warning; it is a command. Similarly, the Apostle Paul said: "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth" (Colossians 3:2).
